2. Services Provided
ReviewBoost UK provides local businesses with tools to request customer reviews, manage contacts, and send review requests via SMS and email.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
Paid features and automated requests operate on a subscription basis managed securely through Stripe. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time directly through your dashboard billing portal.
4. User Responsibilities & Compliance Warranties
You agree to use ReviewBoost UK in strict compliance with all applicable local and international laws, including but not limited to the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
- Consent & Authorisation: You warrant and represent that you have obtained explicit, verifiable consent or a lawful basis under PECR and UK GDPR to contact each recipient before triggering any SMS or email communication through our platform.
- CSV Upload & Contact Imports: When uploading CSV files or importing customer contact lists, you guarantee that all data has been collected lawfully. You agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless ReviewBoost UK against any legal claims, fines, regulatory enforcement actions (including ICO penalties), or liabilities resulting from unauthorized messages sent to contacts provided by you.
- Prohibited Content: You may not use the service to transmit spam, misleading, abusive, or illegal communications.
5. Data Roles (Data Controller vs. Data Processor)
- Business User as Data Controller: You (the business subscriber) acknowledge that you are the Data Controller under UK GDPR in respect of all personal data (including phone numbers, names, and email addresses) uploaded to or processed via ReviewBoost UK.
- ReviewBoost UK as Data Processor: ReviewBoost UK acts strictly as a Data Processor. We process end-user contact details exclusively on your documented instructions to execute messaging services requested through your dashboard.
6. Opt-Out, Suppression Rules & Data Erasure
- Opt-Out Handling: You are strictly required to honor all recipient unsubscribe or "STOP" requests immediately.
- Suppression Lists: ReviewBoost UK maintains automated suppression mechanisms. You agree not to re-import or attempt to message contacts who have previously opted out.
- Data Retention & Erasure: We retain contact data only as long as necessary to perform the requested services or comply with legal obligations. You may delete contact lists directly from your dashboard at any time, or request full data erasure upon account termination in compliance with UK GDPR.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReviewBoost UK shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits or revenues arising from service downtime, delivery failure by third-party telecom carriers, or non-compliance by users regarding data protection regulations.
